Details
The Regional Program Partnerships for Democracy and Development with Latin America of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS ADELA), based in Panama, gives the opportunity to people who want to specialize their studies to apply to the Scholarship Program in Panama.
Criteria:
University degree with above average GPA.
Preferably with commitment and experience in social volunteering and/or political participation.
Strong interest in issues such as the democratic and economic system, rule of law and human rights.
Preferably if the applicant's academic and professional background is accompanied by merit and corresponding credentials.
Priority Areas:
The Konrad Adenauer Foundation is strongly committed to values based on the Western-Christian view of the human being. It defends human rights and promotes representative democracy, the rule of law, the social market economy, European integration and international cooperation. It therefore invites its applicants to consider the following fields of study in order to be more eligible for a scholarship:
Social Sciences,
Political Science,
Legal Sciences,
Administrative Sciences and/or
Economic Sciences from any higher education institution in Panama.
Scholarships will be granted for the following levels of professional and/or academic education or training:
Professional Diploma.
Post-graduate degree.
Master's degree.
Doctorate.
Requirements:
To apply for diploma, postgraduate or master's degrees, you must fill out the digital registration form and attach the following documents:
Motivation Letter addressed to KAS ADELA.
Curriculum Vitae.
A passport-type photograph.
Two (2) institutional letters of recommendation (work, academic, social, political and/or NGO).
Official letter of admission from the house of studies where he/she will carry out the specialized studies.
Detailed syllabus of the study institution where he/she will undertake the specialized studies.
Detailed annual or semester spending plan of the study institution where he/she will undertake the specialized studies.
Report card and credits of the undergraduate studies.
Copy of the undergraduate degree.
Copy of identity document.
In order to apply for a doctorate, the following requirements must be included in addition to those previously mentioned:
Detailed justification of the thesis project. It must include the description of the problem, the planned methodological approach, information about the work plan to be developed, endorsed by the researcher tutor of the university, and the calendar.
Letter of recommendation from the Ph.D. director, endorsing the academic qualifications and personal suitability of the applicant.
Letter of recommendation from the university professor(s) who will evaluate the Doctoral Thesis Project.
Important:
All applicants must be previously admitted by the Institution of Higher Education in order to make the scholarship application to the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. KAS will not make any arrangements for the applicant's enrollment process at the host institution of higher education.
KAS ADELA will be in charge of evaluating the documents provided by the applicants. Only those who have sent the requested documents in their entirety will be eligible.
Subsequently, an interview (face-to-face or online) will be conducted between the applicant for any type of scholarship and a group of KAS ADELA representatives.
