The Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Tribunal Electoral of Panama are organizing the lecture "Research on Parliamentary Elites in Latin America" by Dr. Manuel Alcántara Sáez, to be presented in the auditorium of the main headquarters of the Tribunal Electoral in Panama City.
Dr. Manuel Alcántara Sáez is a professor at the University of Salamanca. He holds a degree in Political Science and Sociology (1976) and a PhD in Political Science (1984) from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has lectured at various Spanish universities, as well as at the Center for Constitutional Studies in Madrid and at foreign universities: Georgetown University, Tulane University, Sciences Po (Lille), Flacso-Ecuador, Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Medellín), among others.
Among his main publications are "Gobernabilidad, crisis y cambio" (Mexico. Fondo de Cultura Económica. 2004); "¿Instituciones o máquinas ideológicas? Origen, programa y organización de los partidos políticos latinoamericanos" (Barcelona. ICPS. 2004); "Sistemas políticos de América Latina" (Madrid. Tecnos. 3rd edition. 2003); "Sistemas políticos de América Latina" (Madrid. Tecnos. 2nd edition. 1999); and "El oficio de político" (2012 and 2019).
