The article examines whether the pandemic influences and shapes the rules as well as their application in the context of the Central Maghreb. It further compares and contrasts the three experiences and focuses on the policy implications of the pandemic, while examing the approaches of the different governments of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia to the pandemic, their responses, measures and institutional implications.
Finally, as relations between citizens and states evolve in the light of the crisis, the article seeks to formulate a set of recommendations based on best practices for more resilient, cohesive and inclusive societies.
