The online seminar aimed at presenting different views, from Turkey, Portugal, Italy and Spain, on the current developments in the eastern Mediterranean region with the relevance to energy exploration, maritime security and geopolitical dynamics.
The invited experts addressed the historical and geopolitical background that led to the status quo in the region. The regional and domestic interests of the eastern Mediterranean countries were tackled during the panel discussion session, in order to understand the current alliances and conflicts.
Over one hundred participants attended the virtual event. They had the chance to interact directly with the speakers and discuss recommendations to the unfolded crisis and potential opportunities for a constructive regional dialogue in the eastern Mediterranean.
