Event reports
After more than 60 years of efforts to integrate Europe,
it still remains divided. The global economic crisis
weakened the impetus of the European project and almost
led to the collapse of the Eurozone. 10 years after
the “big bang” enlargement, the East-West division line
(between “new” and “old” member states) has been
replaced by new divisions, stemming from different
economic conditions and political interests among the
28 EU member states.
