Study and information programme
Details
The International Summer School Sarajevo program on transitional justice and its role in rebuilding human rights and the rule of law in post-conflict societies is offered by the Rule of Law Programme South East Europe of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with the Association “PRAVNIK” Sarajevo. It is intended for graduate and PhD students of law and related disciplines, but also a limited number of undergraduates and young professionals.
The program will be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina from July 24 to August 3, 2024.
The program will explore the theoretical foundations of transitional justice, as well as the practical challenges of implementing transitional justice measures in post-conflict societies. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field (from ICTY, ICC and many more), and to engage in discussions with their peers from around the world.
The program will also include a field trip to Srebrenica. This will provide participants with an opportunity to see firsthand how transitional justice is being implemented in practice.
This is a great opportunity for students and young professionals who are interested in learning more about transitional justice and its role in promoting human rights and the rule of law.
