International legal experts and Chinese scholars convened for a day-long seminar to discuss the topic ‘Parliamentary Democracy.’ The seminar served as a pre-cursor to the summer lecture series that followed on comparative constitutional law for Chinese lawyers and students of law organized in co-operation with the Peking University.
The seminar deliberated the different theoretical frameworks vis-à-vis the practical challenges to a robust parliamentary democracy system in different countries with an objective to define the best and most suitable practices for democratic reform measures in China.
