Workshop
Details
Political parties are able to pick up on moods and opinions within the population and transfer them to the political decision-making process. At the same time, they influence public opinion. As parliamentary groups, they make it easier to find compromises within parliament. In doing so, the development of a party line ensures that majorities do not have to be permanently renegotiated.
This said, both, the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Rule of Law Programme Middle East and North Africa (KAS) and the Observatory on Public Service and Good Governance (OFP) at Saint Joseph University (USJ) share the same opinion: it is necessary to regulate the legal framework of parties in a party law. Thus, in cooperation, they decided to organize an event dedicated to discuss all aspects of such a necessary law.
The event entitled “good governance in political parties, current and required legislation” is set to take place at the Gulbenkian Auditorium, USJ Social Sciences Campus, Huvelin Street – Achrafieh, at 4 PM on Tuesday the 7th of November.
