The studies in this volume are divided into three sections, defined for theoretical and methodological reasons on the basis of three oppositions: (1) Memory vs. History; (2) Culture vs. Politics; and (3) Transnational vs. National. The different sectors include various studies analysing the communist phenomenon in Romania.
