Study and information programme
Details
Democratically minded intelligence services bound by the rule of law are indispensable for the protection of liberal democracy. The tasks of intelligence services are constantly evolving with the threat scenarios against democracy. Together with the National Intelligence Academy, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) has set up a ‘Master of Business Intelligence’ programme to promote targeted further training at the intersection of economic and intelligence skills.
In addition to traditional fields such as ‘National Intelligence Systems’, ‘Competitive & Strategic Intelligence’, ‘Collection, Reporting & Communication of Intelligence’, the programme focuses in particular on the areas of ‘Economic War Theory’, ‘Business Forensics’, ‘Data Mining & Big Data’, ‘Cyber Security & Cyber Intelligence’, ‘Social Network Analysis’, ‘Money Laundering & Fraud Prevention’, as well as ‘Ethics and Academic Integrity’.
As part of a study trip to Berlin integrated into the Master's programme, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation is committed to broadening the students' discussion horizons to include German experiences. In particular, we are focussing on the link between intelligence and security service activities and democracy, taking full account of the principles of the rule of law.
