The objective is to offer the reader data, analysis, and technical evidence on the main trends and movements of police records of crimes, and thus reflect on what has occurred in the 27 states of the Federation in the last four years. The Brazilian reality is the sum of political and institutional options of the Union, in its multiple spheres and powers, with 27 sub-national realities, distinct from each other by socioeconomic, demographic, racial, cultural, organizational, and institutional capacities, as well as by criminal dynamics and different patterns of violence.
The Portuguese publication is for free and part of KAS Brazil's commitment to discuss key issues for the strengthening of democracy in the face of the main challenges of this election year.
