Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation’s Media Stakeholders Climate Change Workshop
The United Nations recently reviewed the MDGs by ‘upgrading’ them to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Strategy 13.3 refers to, among other things, improving education and awareness on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning. It therefore makes sense that the relentless focus on empowering Zimbabweans with climate change knowledge by the media be a matter of urgency.
In this respect, Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation (KAF) are set to bring together the key media stakeholders and climate change experts to share knowledge and experience on climate change reportage. This will help further enhance the meaning and context of SDG strategy 13.3 and other commitments, more importantly, our capacity to communicate policy and strategy to grassroots communities.
Those invited to the above-referred one-day forum include newspaper/magazine publishers, their editors, fulltime, freelance, citizen and part time journalists, bloggers, media website hosts radio/TV station CEOs and their journalists, media training institution heads and their students.
