SIPODI West organises seminars for the police in anticipation of the 2025 Elections in Côte d'Ivoire
Seminar on security in the context of elections: “Role of the security forces in the electoral process”
From February 27 to 28, 2025, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung's SIPODI West Program launched its series of seminars on security in the electoral context in Duekoué, in the presence of local security authorities.
This meeting brought together officials from the Police and the National Gendarmerie, as well as representatives of the administration and local authorities. The discussions focused on key topics, including collaboration between the Electoral Commission and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), security ethics during election periods and crowd management.
Civilian and military experts shared their experiences and made recommendations to ensure peaceful elections. This seminar, which brought together 40 officers, marks the first stage of a program that will continue in Yamoussoukro from March 19 to 22, 2025.
