South African Council of Churches Voting Workshops

The topics covered include voter education, democracy, and conflict resolution management. The dialogues were organized by Sylvia Msimango of the South African Council of Churches in Gauteng and facilitated by Rev Thataetsile Semeno of the Salvation Army. The dialogues aim to teach people about democracy, their rights, and responsibilities, and to encourage the participants to register to vote and to vote.

Presenters from the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) participated in some of the dialogues and provided practical tips about voter registration and how to verify registration status. A representative from SADRA (South African Development and Reconstruction Agency) participated in the Thokoza dialogue.
