Details
One focus of the 2025 edition of the Leadership Academy are the Parliamentary elections in Armenia in 2026. The way they are conducted – including the election campaign, voter mobilization, and competitiveness – is, among other factors, a crucial indicator of the state of democracy in Armenia. Within the Leadership Academy, we aim to discuss how everyone can contribute to ensuring that next year’s elections are free, fair, and democratic.
Who Can Apply?
• Young politicians (ages 25–35) from political parties, regardless of their representation in Parliament.
• NGO representatives (ages 25–35) engaged in fields of democracy promotion, human rights, and good governance.
Participants are expected to be proactive, dedicated, and willing to contribute to shaping the project’s concept. Proficiency in English is an advantage but not a requirement.
Possible Program Highlights:
• Training Sessions: Covering political strategy, public speaking, campaign management, and democratic governance best practices
• Workshops & Simulations: Including mock elections, debates, and collaborative exercises
• Mentorship Program: Pairing participants with political leaders, NGO heads, and international experts
• Panel Discussions & Guest Speakers: Engaging with key political and academic figures on pressing national and international topics
• Networking Events: Providing opportunities for collaboration and future electoral campaigns
Program Timeline:
• April: Call for applications (Deadline: April 27)
• May: Interviews with shortlisted candidates
• June: 1. Online webinar to define the topics of the program
• 25 - 27 July: Leadership Academy Armenia (offline, part 1)
• August: 2. Online follow-up webinar
• September: Leadership Academy Armenia (offline, part 2)
• October – November: Follow-up mentorship and networking meetings (the opportunity to draft policy papers)
• December: Concluding seminar/conference with project presentations
