Details

Since 2004, each participating SAARC country sends every year 10 selected student delegates to the programme, which is hosted by one of the SAARC countries.

Since 2014, Afghanistan, under the coordination of Kabul University, is participating in the Workshop.

For the students, the workshop is a unique experience and oftentimes the first and only opportunity to meet people of the same age from their neighbour countries within their region.

The spirit of SAESM is to foster the idea of “One South Asia” across political or economic faultlines and to build trust and personal contacts among the next generation of South Asia.
