On June 3, the KAS office in Kabul organized a discussion with the German Embassy Kabul on the future of Germany's civil and political engagement in Afghanistan.
Deputy Ambassador Gregory Bledjian as well as the Head of Development Cooperation of the German Embassy, Henning Plate, talked about Germany's civil and political engagement in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of the international troops. Deputy Peace Minister Dr. Alema and other participants provided comments.
The Afghan-German Roundtable in Kabul
There is a diverse community of Afghan-Germans and German-speaking Afghans in Kabul. At the request of the network, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation office in Kabul took over the coordination of Afghan-German Roundtable.
The Afghan-German Roundtable is a monthly meeting to maintain the Afghan-German community in Kabul. Its purpose is to get to know each other, discuss and exchange ideas on various topics of Afghan-German relations.
The language at the Roundtable is German.
The meetings are informal and Chatham House .
