Details
Two trainer teams will run parallel workshops on both islands in order to strengthen capacity and ethical leadership skills of CHADEMA leaders and thus support the ongoing electoral process within the party.
Transparent and reliable structures and procedures are vital for every party in a democratic multi-party system. CHADEMA and KAS share the strong conviction that a political party can only contribute substantially to a democratic culture in the country, if party leaders at all levels know, respect and implement carefully the principles of democracy and good governance themselves. Elections are a crucial element of and test for the strength of democracy. For this reason, KAS and CHADEMA agreed to put much emphasis on trainings and workshops in order to ensure free, fair and transparent party elections within CHADEMA from the grass root up to the national leadership. The party elections are supposed to conclude later this year with a national convention and the election of the national leadership.
The workshops on Zanzibar are part of the ongoing country-wide training programm of KAS and her political partner party CHADEMA.
