Details
The organizers are expecting about 400 students from secondary schools, colleges and universities from all over Dar es Salaam to attend the event. Throughout the whole day the young citizens, which are mostly first-time voters, shall comprehensively be prepared for the upcoming local government elections. Best possible informed voters are the base of any vibrant democracy.
Besides introductory speeches of CETA’s Secretary General Safari Minja and KAS Tanzanian’s Resident Representative Stefan Reith, consultants from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) and the National Election Commission (NEC) are expected to present papers. In addition, there will be plenty of room for an open discussion and a question & answer session.
