Stefan Reith, Resident Representative of KAS Tanzania (left), welcomes the delegation, which is accompanied by German Ambassador to Tanzania, Klaus-Peter Brandes (second from left).
In the evening, Freeman Mbowe, Chairperson of CHADEMA, greets the delegation. He decribes the experiences of the opposition party and emphasizes the current challenges.
Siegfried Kauder, Head of the delegation, thanks Hon. Mbowe and highlights that he has already learned a lot during his first evening in Tanzania. He wishes the party power of endurance and success in coping with the current problems and challenges.
On the following day Prof. Christian Roschmann, Head of the KAS regional Rule of Law Program, opens the conference about the constitutional reform processes in East Africa.
About 40 experts from law-related areas from Tanzania and Kenya take part in the conference in Arusha.
Prof. John Ruhangisa, Registrar of the East African Court of Justice, is the moderator of the following presentations and discussions.
