In line with the topic, the program guided participants through a successful combination of history, culture and science in Germany. After a dinner with the Chairman of the JU Thuringia, Stefan Gruhner and the International Secretary of the JU, Mark Captain MP, the visitors were brought to Erfurt on the first day of the visit where they were guided through the former "Stasi" (state security of Eastern Germany) prison.

From there they went on to Wartburg in Eisenach, the "birthplace" of German democracy before meeting up with Christine Lieberknecht MP, Prime Minister of Thuringia, at the Technical University of Ilmenau. In order to give international guests an insight into the German sports culture, a visit of the two-kilometer "Ski Tunnel" in Oberhof was planned. For the evening, a dinner with Dr. Mario Voigt, Secretary General of the CDU Thuringia rounded up the program.

The last day of the visitors program led participants to Weimar, where they visited the houses of Goethe and Schiller, followed by a visit to a medium-sized enterprise in Jena. In the early evening the actual aim of the travel commenced in Erfurt: the annual meeting of the Junge Union.

During the round of introduction Paschal Patrobas represented BAVICHA, CHADEMA and his country: He congratulated the CDU on the electoral victory and praised the great support and important role that the JU played during the campaign. He lauded the great performance and assured that BAVICHA wanted to take inspiration from it for their own work in the 2015 elections in Tanzania. He briefly talked about the challenges his party in Tanzania is facing every day and appealed to the German Government to continue supporting his country in strengthening democracy and good governance in Tanzania.
