Participants from political parties, academia, NGOs and media will discuss about characteristics of democracy and the role of political parties. The seminar focuses on the role of political parties, their accountability as advocacy groups as well as their role in ensuring checks and balances.

The major aims of the seminar are the identification of best practices and the development of policy options for a sustainable pluralistic parliamentary democracy.
