The roundtable discussion will bring together an exclusive number of 30 invited participants with leading roles and particular expertise in the areas of economic governance, development and media practitioners.
The aim of the conference is to further facilitate dialogue on economic policies and to trigger a constructive debate on how the values of social market economy can guide Uganda’s economic policies and the role of government, civil society and the media in enhancing constructive policy dialogue in the country. It shall also address the question of whether there is urgent need to reassess various economic policies and to develop programs that the country has been adopting in order to promote basic principles of a social market economy and the opportunities they offer.
