Details
At the conference, the consequences of Russia’s occupation of Crimea and ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine for the European security, the security situation in the Eastern European region, current and possible hybrid threats to the countries of the region, possible ways of countering them will be discussed.
A program of the conference will be foreseen to concentrate on the following issues:
- Hybrid threats of the post-Crimean policy of the Russian Federation for new independent states
- Military aspect of the Russian policy in the Azov and Black Sea region
- Regional features of the RF hybrid aggression
- Humanitarian instruments and consequences of the Russian hybrid aggression
Representatives of the leading think-tanks from the countries of Eastern and South-East Europe, missions of the international organizations in Ukraine (first of all – the EU, NATO, OSCE, UN), embassies of foreign states, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Government, scientific and civil society organizations, and media are expected to participate in the discussion.
Conference venue: V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University (Kyiv, 33 Ivana Kudri Street, meeting hall).
Registration – from 09:00 p.m., March 19, 2019. The event will last from 09:30 to 17:30.
Working languages are Ukrainian and English.
