The report states that “it is imperative that leaders and decision-makers in government, private sector and civil society on both sides of the Atlantic understand the current shifts in the datasphere in order to agree on objectives and strategies to enable its transformation for economic and social benefit. Contributing to this understanding by providing insights on the nature, trends and drivers of the global datasphere, as well as the technical and legal questions around it is the purpose of this study.”

The views, conclusions and recommendations expressed in this report are solely those of its author and do not reflect the views of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, or its employees
