More recently, the United States has apparently refocused her priorities toward Asia leading to questions about Europe's position in American strategic priorities. Moreover, budgetary pressures as a result of the financial crises are increasingly shaping policy making on both sides of the Atlantic.
To discuss these and other questions, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is organizing an event on the “The future of NATO beyond the Chicago Summit” with Dr. Karl-Heinz Kamp, director of the research division of the NATO Defense College and former head of the international security policy department at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
