In the past five years, no other region in the world has attracted such great attention of the world community as the Indo-Pacific region. From the US’s vision expressed in APEC 2017 in Da Nang City, Vietnam, a free and open Indo-Pacific region has gradually come into existence with the emergence of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad), including the United State, Australia, Japan and India or the EU’s announcement of the Joint Communication on the EU Strategy for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific Region on September 16th 2021. In particular, September 16th 2021 mark the beginning of the trilateral security alliance AUKUS (the US, the UK and Australia). What will the future of Indo-Pacific be like is an extremely interesting question and of interest for many scholars. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, VNU, with the support of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Vietnam publishes the book “International Relations in the Free and Open Indo-Pacific Region”. The publication embracing papers of 20 authors from Vietnam’s leading institutions of International Relations (e.g. USSH, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, Academy of Journalism and Commmunication, ect.) has three parts:
1. Policies of great powers in the Indo-Pacific region
2. Trends of cooperation and competition in the Indo-Pacific region
3. International relations of Vietnam in the Indo-Pacific region
The hard copies are available at the library of the USSH’s Faculty of International Relations, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan Dist., Hanoi.
