More than 180 prominent national and international speakers and experts joined the discussion. Experts from Germany were Mr. Ferdinand Gehringer, Cyber Security Advisor, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Berlin and Dr. Frank Sill Torres, Director of the Institute for Protection of Maritime Infrastructures, German Aerospace Center.
Addressing at the event, HE. Amb. Nguyen Minh Vu - Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that Vietnam is strongly committed to maritime connectivity in line with international law. As a coastal state in the region, Vietnam has formulated a strategy for sustainable development of its marine economy by 2030 with the vision to 2045, with a strong emphasis on maritime connectivity. Vietnam pledges to maintain rules-based order and respect the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
The conference is a flagship event in the cooperation between DAV and KAS. We are committed to the promotion of cooperation between the countries of Southeast Asia, but also with Europe and Germany, based on rules and trust, thus promoting stable, peaceful and sustainable development.
