The three-day conference was held under the theme “Democracy and Subregional Integration: Challenges and Prospects in West Africa”. The conference was opened with speeches by director of the Regional Program Political Dialogue in West Africa Dr. Stefanie Brinkel, the representative of the mayor Sidibé Mamadou, the national representative of the fellows of Côte d'Ivoire, Nicodème Kouame and the regional representative of the fellows Gnamien Attougbre. There were various modules held by several speakers, such as a module on the correlation between the rule of law and democracy. This led to an exciting exchange between the various participants.
At the end of the conference, the regional representative of the scholarship holders Gnamien Attougbre handed over his office to the new regional representative Mamadou Daman from Guinea.
