United in Faith?

A Representative Study on Christians and Muslims in Germany

Religion continues to play an important role for many people in Germany – despite an increasing number of people with no religious affiliation. But how similar are Muslims and Christians actually? And how do they differ in their attitudes?

Our study compares Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox and Muslims on religious issues. The representative survey shows: Muslims and Christians, especially Catholics, have many similarities. For example, around two thirds of all Catholics and Muslims each believe in life after death. There are differences in questions of interfaith marriage of one's own daughter and one's own religiosity.

Further results of the representative study on Christians and Muslims in Germany can be found here in the PDF.
