Details

The judicial reform has been criticised as a severe violation of the rule of law principle. Poland is not the only country accused of backsliding on the rule of law: Recently, the Commission has urged Romania to step back from a planned change in its court system. In our next meeting of the KAS Working Group on European Law, we will discuss the importance of protecting the rule of law throughout the EU and analyse the mechanisms available to the EU to prevent and sanction the abandonment of this core European principle. The workshop will take place on March 01, 2018.
