Details
The objective of the Program is to strengthen theoretical and practical knowledge on climate change, related to the energy sector for the development of capacities for the implementation of energy projects in the region, aligned with the political commitments acquired in recent climate negotiations, in order to obtain a sustainable energy development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Program will have 3 virtual modules to be dictated from March 28th., to May 23rd., 2017, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:00 am, to 12:00 m (Quito hour).
In addition, the Program will culminate with a in-person workshop to be held in Lima-Peru during the week from May 29th., to June 2nd., 2017, whose objective is to develop a proposal to define appropriate mitigation actions for each country of the attending participant (NAMA’s), and the development of a road chart for the implementation of the determined National Contributions (INDC´s) in accordance with the planning and formulation methodologies that will be provided during the virtual modules.
It is important to mention that the people who will attend the in-person Workshop will be those who have obtained the best qualifications in the virtual mode of the Program.
