Upon invitation of the KAS in India, Prof. Dr. Günter Krings and Ansgar Heveling, both Members of the Parliament in Germany, attended the conference. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) will play a major role as the trade and economical relations between Germany and India increase. A stable economic growth and a raise of wealth in service-driven societies can only be sustainable when innovations, creativity and technology transfer between trading nationals like Germany and India are promoted. A precondition for this is IPR.

With the two-day Indo-German conference, the KAS in India wants to intensify the legal-policy-dialogue between the two nations and wants to contribute to a strengthened cooperation.
