Acknowledging the urgency of the issue of immigration nowadays in both continents, KAS will co-host a Joint Conference of Young Researchers in European and African studies in Israel on the subject of Immigration at the Ben Gurion University.

This conference is for researchers that are at the outset of their academic journey (MA, Ph.D. and post-doctorate), from all areas of research in the fields of European Studies and African studies, with an emphasis on history, sociology, anthropology, politics, economics, government, law and communications. Panels will focus on case studies that draw a comparison between the two continents, or focus solely on one continent, state, or locality within it.

Through presentations on the topic of immigration and beyond, we hope that the conference will serve as a platform for dialogue, cooperation and exchange of information.
