Seminar
Details
At a time when images and events suggest a clash of the Muslim with the non-Muslim world, the media carries an accrued responsibility to report events objectively in ways that defuse rather than ignite religious and ethnic tensions. In this timely seminar, six speakers and six commentators – all leading academics, activists, authors, editors, and journalists – will be discussing the media’s role in fostering inter-faith dialogue and in strengthening inter-religious relations between Muslims and non-Muslims.
The seminar is organized by the Singapore-based Centre for Research on Islamic and Malay Affairs (RIMA), with the assistance and support of the Media Programme Asia of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation (KAS).
