The young South East European democracies have been deliberately following the way towards European integration for years. Communication between politicians, governments and civil society, which were marked by government propaganda and strong censorship during the times of the communistic regimes, gained an enormous impact and importance throughout the period of transformation. The professional and value oriented political communication in South East Europe has received an enormous revaluation in the last few years.
After the very successful workshop for political communicators from the region, which the KAS Media Program organized in Cadenabbia, Italy, in 2011, it is now inviting, together with the Government of Montenegro and the UNDP Montenegro, to the First South Eastern European Government Communication Conference.
The conference will take place from 14th – 16th September in Budva (Montenegro) and is supported by the US embassy in Podgorica.
Among participants and speakers there are renowned experts of political communication from Germany, the US, the EU and South East Europe, as all government spokespersons of the countries in the region.
