Details

There is clearly more political participation from men than women in Nigeria. It is widely understood that certain socio-economic and institutional factors as well as the political setting in the country are responsible for the low representation of women in governance and development. In this seminar, KAS invites some top women politicians to evaluate the current situation and problems militating against political participation of women in politics.

On this basis, ways to ensure better participation of Nigerian women in politics will be discussed.
