The KAS Resident Representative to the Palestinian Territories, Felix Dane, welcomed the group at his office. He explained the current political situation as well as the work of KAS Ramallah during the last years. With the help of some examples he explained the cooperation with the Palestinian partners. He also explained in which ways KAS Ramallah supports these partners and what kind of outcomes the office already achieved.

The group showed a great interest in the ongoing projects of KAS Ramallah and in the political situation in general. One of the focal points was the Palestinian plan to apply for United Nations membership this fall.

Afterwards Felix Dane answered the visitors’ questions. They were particularly interested in the way foreign aid is delivered to the Palestinians and for what projects these funds are used. After their stay in the office of KAS Ramallah the group visited some central places in Ramallah, for example the Muqata’a, the presidents’ official residence.
