ASEAN at 40: Achievements and Challenges

ASEAN has developed into a pivotal point of broader regional cooperative bodies, including APEC in 1989, the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) in 1994, the ASEAN+3 process in 1997, the East Asian Community framework and the East Asian Summit thereafter.
