Das Militär und die Polizei von Myanmar griffen die Demonstranten mit Gummigeschossen, scharfer Munition, Tränengas und Schallbomben an, als Reaktion auf die Proteste gegen den Militärputsch. Seit dem Tag, an dem der Putsch in Myanmar begann, wurden mindestens 82 Demonstranten für tot erklärt.
