Details

From April 16 to 19, 2023, the ADELA Regional Program and its partners Crime Stoppers and PARLATINO will organize the Americas Security Forum: "The Criminalization of Cyberspace II" in Mexico City. The target audience is Latin American and European parliamentarians, officials and experts in the areas of digitalization, security and intelligence services, and domestic politics dealing with the issue of cyberspace.

Crime in cyberspace has increased exponentially in recent years. To name just a few crimes, we have the paralyzation of computer systems, cyber-attacks ordered by governments, online impersonation, fraud through social networks, identity theft, unauthorized access to computer systems, hacking on the Internet, attacks on strategic assets, among many others.

In this regard, we believe that one possible way to address the emerging challenges of cybercrime among countries would be to implement an international approach that harmonizes cybersecurity capabilities.
