Training the judges in the field of the human rights’ protection

in the light of the changes introduced by the Treaty of Lisbon

The KAS-RLPSEE together with the Romania Ministry of Justice and the National Institute of Magistracy are planning to organize 2 trainings in the field of the human rights’ protection in the light of the changes introduced by the Treaty of Lisbon.

Details

The project consists in the organization of 2 training sessions of 2 days each for a total number of app 50 Romanian judges (25 judges/training sessions) and app. 6 MoJ specialists (3 specialists/training session).

The design of the two training sessions will be similar in terms of organization and curricula.

The judges will be selected from courts of the entire country, seeking to ensure a balanced geographical representation of all the country’s districts.

The selection procedure of the participants will be carried out by the National Institute of Magistracy.

The training sessions will be delivered by 2 trainers from other EU Member States /Member States of the Council of Europe and one Romanian trainer specialised in the field of human rights.

The project has a total duration of 3 months and is envisaged to take place during the second quarter of 2011.
