Participants were H.E. the Executive Secretary of IGAD Mr. Mahboub Maalim, H.E. the Minister of Culture of Djibouti Mr. Aden Hassan Aden, his predecessor H.E. Ali Abdi Farah, the Secretary General of the Djibouti Ministry of Information Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, the counsellor to H.E. the President of Djibouti Dr. Ismail Wais and the President Prof. Abdel Ghaffer Ahmed of the GHHF Executive Committee and its Executive Director Mme Kwasara Wais, Prof. Christian Roschmann, Director of the KAS Rule of Law Programme for Africa-Subsahara and Prof. Stefan Brüne, KAS Programme Coordinator.
The participants discussed a cooperation regarding border management, particularly concerning universities of the IGAD region. The focus was on the topic of migration which is of particular relevance in the IGAD region.
The event was broadcasted in the news of Djibouti television and reported on the front pages of the leading Djibouti newspapers.
