On December 3, the KAS office in Kabul organized a discussion on "Afghanistan's National Electricity Strategy" with Daud Noorzai, CEO of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS).
In an open discussion afterwards, the following questions were discussed, among others:
Reasons and solutions for Afghanistan's deficits in national electricity supply?
Socially acceptable tariffs and distribution in electricity supply?
Energy relations with Afghanistan's neighbors (including Uzbekistan, Iran, Pakistan)?
Background
In Kabul, there is a large and diverse community of Afghan-German and German-speaking Afghans whose networking has not been coordinated in recent years. Upon request from the network, the office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation has taken over the coordination and revival of the Afghan-German Roundtable in 2019.
The Afghan-German Roundtable is a monthly, informal meeting to maintain the Afghan-German community in Kabul and its connection to the German Embassy. It serves the purpose of getting to know each other and exchange on general topics of Afghan-German relations.
When? Once a month on Thursdays
Where? KAS House in Kabul (parallel on Zoom)
The language at the Roundtable is German.
