Migration Delegation Visit to Türkiye 2024
As part of its migration projects, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is organizing a delegation visit to Türkiye, scheduled to take place from September 16 to 20, 2024, in Ankara and Van. The aim of the visit is to bring together policymakers, experts, and representatives from non-governmental organizations to discuss current challenges and potential solutions in the fields of refuge and migration.
The delegation visit will begin in the Turkish capital, Ankara, with a conference focusing on topics such as Türkiye’s role in migration policy and the future of trilateral cooperation between Türkiye, the EU, and Germany. Additionally, meetings with representatives from the Turkish government, NGOs, and international organizations will be held.
Following Ankara, the delegation will travel to the province of Van in southeastern Türkiye. Participants will have the opportunity to gain on-the-ground insights into the situation of refugees and the challenges faced in the region. Meetings with local authorities and civil society organizations will offer a deeper understanding of the realities faced by those affected by migration and displacement.
This delegation visit serves as an important platform to promote dialogue between Türkiye, Germany, and the EU and to explore joint solutions to the global challenges of migration.
