Political Leadership Excellence Program (PLEP) 2024
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Türkiye Office, in collaboration with EDAM (Center for Economics and Foreign Policy Studies), is organizing the PLEP (Political Leadership Excellency Program) training. This training program is designed to help promising young people in the field of politics become future leaders.
The program, which first began in 2022-2023, has graduated 11 participants, and in 2024, it continues with 10 participants. This training program consists of four modules spread across one year.
The modules cover topics such as international relations and foreign policy, economics and energy, domestic politics and strategy, as well as Türkiye-European Union relations. These face-to-face training modules, conducted by leading academics and experts, aim to equip participants with in-depth knowledge and skills in these fields.
After last year's final module in Berlin, this year’s participants are eagerly preparing for the final module, which will take place in Brussels in January 2025. The working visit to Brussels is seen not as the end of the program but as an opportunity to open new doors for networking and inspiring experiences.
In this final module, key figures such as the Permanent Representation of Türkiye to the European Union, the Permanent Delegation of Türkiye to NATO, European Union politicians and experts, as well as representatives from Turkish civil society organizations, will participate. This training offers participants the chance to engage with and exchange information with prominent experts, politicians, and diplomats in their fields.
As in previous years, in 2025, we will continue our training with distinguished academics and experts in their fields. Additionally, we look forward to your participation in our program, where we will organize a study visit abroad.
