The November 2009 Elections for Parliament and the President
On November 27 and 28 of 2009, voters in Namibia were called to the polls to elect the country’s president and the 72 members of the National Assem-bly (parliament). The official results were finally announced on December 4, following significant delays and confusion among the opposition parties as well as vast portions of civil society.
