- addressing greenwashing via utilizing legal instruments. ClientEarth has previously filed a world-first lawsuit against the Board of Directors of Shell plc for failing to manage the material and foreseeable risks posed to the company by climate change.
- the Malaysian experience in handling ESG matters in the legal field. Malaysia is still in the early stages of its ESG journey but is already ahead of the rest of ASEAN. Investing in capability and capacity building is critical in accelerating the ESG development.
